Goal(s)

Applications of the Polymer viscoelasticity class

Content(s)

1 Differential Scanning Calorimetry
• Tg, Enthalpic relaxation - physical aging, melting, crystallization
• PS
• PET processed by stretch blow molding (Coca-Cola bottle)

2 Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis (DMTA) of the processing of an epoxy resin (Araldite glue)
• Impact on the mechanical properties (transition temperature, G ', G "etc.) of the post-treatment temperature (ambient,-5C, 45C) on a specimen molded at room temperature and cured for 24 hours.

3 Tensile tests on standardized specimens
• Characterization of tensile properties
• modulus of elasticity, elongation and stress at yield and at break
• Couples of polymers studied : PS crystal-impact PS, LDPE-HDPE, PP-PP filled GF, amorphous PET-crystalline PET, etc..
