Goal(s)

  • Calculate, by applying energy theorems, the displacement of any point of an isostatic structure;
  • Solve simple hyperstatic systems (trusses, beams, or mixed) by the force method (calculation of support reactions, effects of support settling, internal forces in the
    bars) ;
  • Check the compressed elements for buckling; Application to struts with Eurocode 3.
