Introduction to inferential statistics: descriptive statistics, comparisons, simple regression.
inferential tests and linear regression on concrete cases of the health field under R.
Content(s)
(1) Introduction to R.
(2) Introduction to statistics: descriptive statistics; concept of hypothesis testing, probabilistic events, variance, p-value and risk.
(3) Statistical tests: discussion about the p-value; conditions of validity, adequacy testing, fit testing, homogeneity tests and association tests, comparisons of means, variances, distributions, parametric and nonparametric tests; Chi squared.
(4) Regression and correlation: introduction to data fitting and statistical modeling, linear regression, correlation, quality of regression, tests on the regression.
