ECTS 0.1
Goal(s)
These TPs put into practice the knowledge acquired in the rock mechanics course. The first is to describe the structure of a rocky massif based on measurements made on an outcrop. The second to carry out conventional laboratory tests and interpret them.
At the end of these TPs, students should be able to describe the structure of a rocky massif, and determine the mechanical properties of a rock from laboratory tests.
Content(s)
1. Structural description of a rock mass from outcrop measurements
2. Laboratory tests
2.1. Indirect tension
2.2. Uniaxial compression
2.3. Triaxial compression
2.4. Determination of elastic properties and failure criterion
