Goal(s)

Experimental approach of continuum Mechanics of fluid and solid. Comparison experiment / theory.

Content(s)

TP 1: Traction bench
Objective: Measuring the distribution of deformations on the specimens and assessing the characteristics of the different materials used (elastic modulus, Poisson modulus, etc.).
TP 2: Thick cylinder
Objective: Studying the deformation of a thick hollow cylinder subjected to internal pressure.
TP 3: Action of a jet on an obstacle
Objective: Studying the action of a jet hitting a disc or hemisphere, depending on the flow.
TP 4: Viscometer
Objective: Measuring the viscosity of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids as a function of temperature and shear rate.
